In Dec was Signal Officer at Light House, Dec 1829 was Acting Boat Master. From Dec 1830 -Dec 1836 he was in charge of Hastings Receiving Ship, by Dec 1837 was on sick leave

He was married to Frances BOWEN (daughter of Thomas BOWEN) on 21 Mar 1826 in Bedminister. Frances BOWEN died on 18 Nov 1835 in Colaba, Bombay 33. She was buried in Bombay 33. Thomas CLENDON and Frances BOWEN had the following children:

child48 iv. Thomas William CLENDON died on 26 Oct 1869 in Calcutta, India. According to Harriet Corder, he married 3 weeks before leaving England, his wife had an illegitimate daughter
